Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actor who's talent has brought her recognition as well as critical praise. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's the oldest of children from Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper and Anne who is a psychology student. The Moore family is English, Scottish and of mixed descent. Moore had a difficult time as her family was constantly relocated due to their dad's job. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved there. She began performing in the theatre. She graduated in 1983 with a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University. When she graduated, Moore moved to New York and began her career in off-Broadway theater. Moore's career began with her debut in New York with Off-Broadway Theater immediately following graduation. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, she made her first appearance on the screen. In 1986, she played two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her first break. She stayed on this show until 1988, when she was honored with the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she was the first film actress to make her debut on cinema in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The former was critically acclaimed and earned her a number of nominations for the film. Moore was offered her first leading role on the screen in Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg, who was director of Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997, and one of the year's highest grossing movies, cast Moore as the lead actor. The year 1999 was the first time she received a SAG award for her role in Magnolia. In 2002, she co-starred with The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. Moore was also in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. Non-Stop, a film that she starred in, was released. Moore was a regular in many TV and film series. The most recent role she has played is in When You Finish Saving the World (2022). In Hollywood, she has also established herself as a writer for children. She published her first book Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and became a N.Y.T. The book became a best bestseller, and then was made into a TV series and musical. The author also released her book My Mom is a foreigner in 2013. Moore's personal life has been made public as a highly popular author and actress. In 1984 she married John Robin and in 1995 they divorced. She has two kids and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore is someone who takes pride in her career and family.
